Hello everyone!

Hi everyone! I know, I know, I've been such a bad blogger lately. Actually, I haven't been a blogger at all for quite some time. Just been really busy traveling (work :( not leisure) and getting sick (cough, cough). I haven' even had that much time to even browse the web...

Anyway! I just want to say hi to all of you and remind you that I haven't abandoned you my lovelies! I'll try to put in scheduled posts when I get even a short free time. For those looking for me and wondering what has happened to me, thanks so much for the concern!

For the mean time, tell me what you think of this African Sunset necklace that a friend of mine is planning to buy over at Need Supply. I think it's gorge! Plus you can buy the striped wedges from my previous post there too. Check it out!

Miss you all!

xoxo,
Andy

Geek necklace

I am loving this necklace I found over at Makers Market. It is inspired by the Resveratrol molecule that is believed to make red wine healthy. And that dangling garnet also looks like a drop of red wine. What do you think ladies? Will you wear this little geeky number? I definitely will!

Crazy for bangles

As you know, I recently went thrifting (mostly for accessories) and I am loving these bangles in pink and blue. See it after the jump... and some more I've thrifted in the past.

My latest addition. I wear it separately or together.

Vintage linked brass bangles

Glass bangles thrifted (a whole bag of it!) in India. Love that clinking sound!

Gold plated and jeweled also from India

And check these vintage ones I got last December.

Sunday thrifting

As you know, I still have some pendant hunting to do and for a second straight weekend, I came home empty-handed... well, not really. Instead of going to the mall to find myself some nice pendant, my sister and I ended up thrifting! Just small things. Here are some of the stuff I bought:

vintage clutch

vintage jeweled hair clamp

silver stud earrings with faux diamond

...and more that I have yet to take photos of. Will post them soon. Also, I don't think I have to specify how much for each. Just take my word for it: UBER CHEAP!

Been thrifting lately? What are you latest buys?

Lost and now found

Hey everyone! Remember the missing earring I told you about ages ago? Well, I have found the other pair! I found it stuck in between my desk and my closet this morning while, oddly enough, I was retrieving another pair of earring (which I was gonna wear) that fell off. I cant believe I never tried looking there! The lock is broken though, but I think I can fix it easily.

Pendant hunt

My parents gave me a really nice pair of white gold necklace for Christmas and I've been wearing it out and about since then. Thing is, they only bought the chain cos they didn't know what type of pendant I wanted to go with it. So now I'm in a little pendant hunt and I'm gearing towards the classic cross design, unless I find something more timeless and awesome.

Check out these lovely handcrafted necklaces (just like this 14k gold A initial beauty) from fab jewelry designer Ariel Gordon.

Cute headband!

I found this cute (and uber cheap!) pair of Blair Waldorf-type headband at Market! Market! department store over the weekend. I've been studying it and I think I could make one myself. Hmm, I just need the right fabric, some good amount of time and a pitcher of patience over my skills. Then maybe I could give it out as Christmas gifts! With less than 20 days before Christmas, I really do wish I could squeeze this little project in my schedule, cos nothing beats the thoughtfulness of hand-made presents!

I am in love with this vintage cocoa felt tilt hat adorned with feathers and a veil. It just looks so old and romantic, don't you think? Well, I cant use this today unless I'm in a 1940's themed wedding or play or party, but it would just look oh so lovely in my closet!

Madame Butterfly

Madame Butterfly, one of the most amazing stores in the world, is selling its exclusive collection of unique and vintage clothing. The store, which is about 3,000 square feet of clothing and accessories, is owned by the lovely Patricia O' Donnell, a 65-year old thrift addict and fashion enthusiast. Words cannot describe her collection and I believe even her feelings over having to part with a lifetime's worth of beautiful finds. Check some of them out:

Ms. O' Donell notes, "I get such enjoyment helping people play "dress-up". Again, real life has jumped up and bit me and I am losing my home & the store if I don't part with my collection... This has been a labor of love for me, and only a true vintage clothing collector could understand that."

"I am trying to appeal to someone or even an existing business that wants to expand their inventory. This is a wonderful opportunity for anyone that has ever wanted to own an authentic vintage clothing collection or open their own boutique," she added.

Aww, this is so calling out for me!!! If I'm not so poor at the moment, I would definitely buy everything from her. But alas, I am. Check out the story here and view more of the collection here.

Oh, and please pass to your friends!!

Thrifted vintage bangles

I am so loving this vintage bangles that I thrifted from a recent Christmas bazaar. Isn't it quite lovely? You should start visiting bazaars now while they're all over the metro! World Trade recently opened for the Holiday season and though it's quite packed, it's totally worth it!

Scarf love

Don't you just love those soft, dangly little things? I know I do! Warm or cold, it's one of my favorite accessories, because it brightens any outfit in a snap. See how these girls are wearing simple white tops and plain ol' jeans, yet they look so chic? That's the power of scarves.

And if it's just too warm for a scarf around the neck then try to incorporate it in your outfit in a different way like Ms. Elyoo herself:
She tied it around her fedora, now how creative is she? Try it now, ladies!

Hair jewelry

.
Just stumbled upon this wacky artsy accessory idea in The Beauty Brains.

American artist Melanie Bilenker creates miniature portraits using strands of her own hair!!! Kind of insane, yes, but she does make pretty pendants and brooches.

What do you think? Cool or just plain weird? See more here.
