Panoramic memory drawing

Read about this over at Reuters. Amazing!


Stephen Wiltshire is an artist diagnosed with autism. He is known for doing panoramic memory drawings of various places around the world. He was recently in New York for the last of nine panoramic drawings of the world's major cities.

So this is how it's done. Mr. Wilthsire takes a few-minute helicopter ride over a place/city, and then sketch the entire (detailed!) skyline from memory!

Space hotel: would you stay?

Hoteliers have always wanted something unique to showcase. they like bragging about their hotel features and amenities that others don't have. The only this, the biggest that, etc. But taking it up a notch is a company who plans to open the first ever 'Galactic Suite Space Resort'. No, its not a future-themed hotel/resort, but an actual resort, wait for it, in the outer SPACE!!!

So how much does it cost to live in space? The Barcelona-based architects of said hotel report around $4.4 million for a three-night stay. This includes an eight-week training course on a tropical island.

The report also stated that "during their stay, guests would see the sun rise 15 times a day and travel around the world every 80 minutes. They would wear velcro suits so they can crawl around their pod rooms by sticking themselves to the walls like Spiderman."

Wow! It was hard to believe when British tycoon Richard Branson opened a space tours firm, Virgin Galactic. Now a space hotel?! And 43 people have already reserved! Sigh, to be uber rich...

So ladies, if you have a mountain-load of money with no idea where to spend it on, would you consider staying in a hotel... in space?
