Oh my sweets!

Four days to go and the day of sweets hearts will be here yet again. I know some of us are not too ecstatic about this day for different reasons. But c'mon, you gotta love it for all those sweets! The always lovely Betty over at Betty Bake made these scrumptious heart-shaped brownies with raspberry cream that would be perfect for valentines. I would love to make some for my friends and family (who said V-day is just for lovers?). Besides, my boyfriend Jay is allergic to anything sugary sweet, and though he does bake better than I do, I'm the one who get to actually eat them!

    I guess it wont matter who eats them as long as you are eating some....I know I would be eating them all if I could get my hands on them. Yum.

    Since the Olympics is taking over the city (Vancouver), BF and I plan to stay in for a homemade dinner followed by a rented movie.

    I sure wish I could bake delicious treats..
    Oh well, somebody has to keep the bakery in business :)

    ps. your bf being allergic to sweets -- does he get really sick cuz of it? or just don't like sweets? man, i don't know what i'd do if i'm allergic to it...brownies and ice cream make me smile any day...

    Gizelle, my boyfriend is allergic like really get sick and dizzy for days. Pretty bummed out about it cos i cant bring him to pastry or ice cream shops (and the like) without feeling guilty that I'm the only one eating. But it's okay. I just say to myself "more for you Andy!" :)

    Andy, you have such a lovely blog! I love love love the strip tea bags....lol. So funny! Valentines day?....I don't have a Valentine this year but on Feb 14th I'll be in Santiago, Chile enjoying the summer sun. I did however just paint my nails a color called Red Hot Tamale! It's that new hot color that is everywhere.....orangy/red....I'll be sure to turn some Chilean heads! xoxo

    ooo those look amazing! im going out to dinner on the big night and to a pre set menu where its a chocolate rasberry silk tart and i cant wait!
