Flexitarian Cookbook

I came across the Flexitarian Cookbook while browsing the web last night and I thought I'd share with you lovelies. The cookbook is a compilation of flexible recipes for both vegetarians and carnivores and there are no print copies yet. They are currently raising print funds, with all proceeds going to charity. Check out the video:

Oh my sweets!

Four days to go and the day of sweets hearts will be here yet again. I know some of us are not too ecstatic about this day for different reasons. But c'mon, you gotta love it for all those sweets! The always lovely Betty over at Betty Bake made these scrumptious heart-shaped brownies with raspberry cream that would be perfect for valentines. I would love to make some for my friends and family (who said V-day is just for lovers?). Besides, my boyfriend Jay is allergic to anything sugary sweet, and though he does bake better than I do, I'm the one who get to actually eat them!

How about you my lovelies, preparing anything special for your friends and families? Please do share! Meanwhile, check out Betty's recipe here.

Caramelized Pear and Gorgonzola Omelette with Bacon and Pecans

I haven't had breakfast yet, so naturally, all I can think of at the moment is food. And I just so have to try this Caramelized Pear and Gorgonzola Omelette with Bacon and Pecans by Kevin of Closet Cooking. He is simply creative! Check out the recipe here.

Cant quite make one today so I'd probably just run downstairs for a bit to get some breakfast. Happy Monday everyone!

Update: I had cream cheese bagel...probably not as good as this omelette, but good enough :)

Time for fruitcake!

After all these years of Christmas fruitcake-giving, I haven't found the perfect one for my taste. It's either too bland or quite overwhelming. I've never tried baking one (and I still wont this year), but I might just ask my sister to try this recipe. She's been looking for the perfect recipe all over the web these past few days.

Meat hand: would you eat?

Halloween is not over yet! I have already posted something pretty, unique and yummy today, so how about something gruesomely edible? Check it out after the jump...

So would you eat? or just nibble that fingertip? Tell me what you think!

See how it's done in Not Martha.

Apple cider doughnuts

Hmm.. I am so trying this over the weekend.

Check out the recipe at Smitten Kitchen and try it now!
